Great Stay! Love the breakfast! Homemade hazelnut Frech Toast! Can you believe that?
Our stay was absolutely great. Ms. Claudette was a hot and was very informative about things to do and places to eat in the area. If you follow her advice, you will have an amazing time. The rooms were comfy and clean and the view from the back porch was very nice. Breakfast was delicious as well! We will be back.
Although we live just an hour away in New Orleans, Raceland introduced us to a whole new side of rich Louisiana culture, and Chateau in the Bayou was a picture-perfect temporary home. In addition to hospitality and delicious breakfast, Miss Claudette offered us choice recommendations about the area. Claudette's a very sweet lady and our bed was super comfortable!
I stayed at A Chateau on the Bayou Bed & Breakfast a weekend in October and was blown away by Claudette’s hospitality. I was in the New Orleans area for Voodoo Music & Arts Festival. I had originally planned for a later check in but made good time on the drive to New Orleans and Claudette did not mind changing that check in slightly. Upon arrival she then gave us information on local restaurants to eat at and even made a reservation for us at Fremin’s in Thibodaux, which I would highly recommend. Aside from Claudette’s hospitality, her home and property is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. It was like we were in a movie with the bayou in the backyard. One of my favorite bands I saw that weekend was The Head & The Heart. They have a line in one of their songs that goes, “You’re already home where you feel loved.” Claudette does a phenomenal job at making her home feel like yours.
We just stayed one night at this B&B but we really enjoyed our stay. Ms Claudette is a wonderful host. She did anything to make our stay comfortable and it was really nice chatting with her. In the morning she made us a delious breakfast because we were the only guests we could choose the breakfast time. The room and the bathroom were nice and clean. She has two cats who roam around the living room and kitchen but they don't enter the guest rooms. Unfourtnately we could not spend time at the outside of the house because of the weather but it looked like a good place to spend a nice evening to end the day.
I love the amazing backyard as well!!!
